Use this article to understand which date formats Magical Import automatically recognizes during import, and how to override the default parsing using the Date Format tab.
Dates are a critical component of your CRM data— they help your CRM create timelines and organize records correctly. When importing date values into a CRM, issues may arise with inconsistent date formats across data sources, time zone discrepancies, incompatible date values, and combined date-and-time values.
Insycle's Magical Import module automatically detects and standardizes common date formats during import, and lets you override that default parsing using the Date Format tab under Data Mapping.
Date Format Matching
In the Magical Import module's Data Mapping section, Insycle automatically detects the format of any date values in your CSV and standardizes them during import. Insycle recognizes the following date formats:

Date time in UTC timezone:
2018-07-19T10:15:30Z -
Date and time without timezone:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS -
Date (YYYY-MM-DD):

All of the formats above work with or without the - or / symbol.
Overriding the Date Format on Import
In the Magical Import module's Data Mapping section, the Date Format tab sits alongside the Matching tab and lets you override Insycle's automatic date parsing before your data is imported into your CRM.
To override the default parsing, select the Date Format tab and select the format that matches your CSV's date values. Insycle applies this format instead of the automatically detected one for the current import.
